Then you can’t leave Holbox without a visit to Italian artisan ice cream and coffee shop, Porque No. Open daily from 11am-11pm, this central café has tasty homemade gelato starting from only 30 pesos with fresh flavours, such as passionfruit, mamey (a wonderful fruit native to Mexico and Central America), and guanabana (also known as soursop). Porque No also serves sweet crepes with Nutella, peanut butter, fruit, and of course, a scoop of ice cream – delicious! Top this off with a true strong Italian coffee and you’re set for an afternoon walk around the town.
As the name suggest, you’re on vacation, so…por qué no? Why not?
