Private transfers to/from Holbox

Private services are available to/from anywhere in the Riviera Maya or the Yucatan to Chiquila/Holbox. There are two types of private services:

a. Private transfers to/from Chiquila. b. Private door-to-door services to/from your hotel in Holbox.

With the latter, the service also includes your ferry tickets and a taxi to/from your hotel on the island. The prices of the private services vary depending on the number of people. Please be aware these are not taxis, but private transfer services – they are comfortable, air-conditioned vans or large SUVs. You should ask for the ‘transporte precontratado’ area of your terminal (precontracted transport).

You should choose the time your flight arrives so that the driver is there when you come out of the terminal.

From Cancun Airport to Chiquila, it takes around 2 hours (if you travel on the toll road).

How long does it take to get to Chiquila/Holbox from Playa del Carmen?

From Playa del Carmen to Chiquila, it takes around 1 hour 50 minutes (if you travel on the toll road).

How long does it take to get to Chiquila/Holbox from Tulum?

From Tulum to Chiquila, it takes around 3 hours (if you travel on the toll road).

How long does it take to get to Chiquila/Holbox from Merida?

From Merida to Chiquila, it takes around 4 hours (if you travel on the toll road).

Are the ferry tickets included in the price of my private transfer?

The ferry tickets are only included if you book a door-to-door service.

What happens if my flight is delayed and I have booked a private transfer to Chiquila/Holbox?

If you are delayed, the driver will wait for you as long as the delay does not exceed the date booked.

What is the cancellation policy for private transfers to Chiquila/Holbox?

If you cancel more than 48 hours before, you will received a full refund; between 48-24 hours you will receive a 50% refund. 24-0 hours before there are no refunds. Cancelled flights or delays exceeding the date booked are classed as no shows.
