How much time do I need for connecting flights to and from Cancún International Airport?

If you arrive to Cancun International Airport on an international flight please expect at least one and a half hours - 90 minutes - to exit your arrival terminal (unboarding, inmigration, baggage pickup and customs). If you plan on taking the free internal airport bus you'll need to add an additional 30 to 50 minutes. Or if you get a taxi just 5 additional minutes. If you're flying out of Cancun International you will need to account estimate an hour - 60 minutes- to an hour and a half - 90 minutes - from your taking off from Holbox to you arriving to your check-in terminal.

For flights departing the FBO terminal there is an airport tax of 8 USD per person if you have not flown to Cancun on the same day. Flights from Playa del Carmen have a 4 USD airport tax.
